When the Chanel Cruise 2017 Cuba collection debuted, I immediately started to hunt for images of the bags. The usual sites we check for photos didn’t have closeups of the accessories, and I wanted to see whatChanel did for this monumental show–the first of its kind for an international brand in Cuba. We did find photos to share, finally, and last week Chanel sent over additional photos of Chanel Cuba Cruise 2017.
Missing from the images they sent was the Chanel Rainbow Boy Bag, which was one of the stand-out bags of the collection. The minute I spotted it from on the runway, I loved it and knew many of you would be intrigued as well. Luckily, if that bag is what you fancy, I come bearing good news: I spoke with Chanel PR, and they confirmed this bag will be produced and available in boutiques in two sizes.
Though the mini version (show in the picture above, on the runway) was not bought by the boutiques, Chanel did pick up the medium and large size. The medium Chanel Rainbow Boy Bag will retail for $4,500, while the large will retail for $4,700. If you are interested in either of these, I’d suggest calling your local boutique or Chanel customer service to get your name on a list; based on the limited number of seasonal bags the brand makes available every season and the positive response so far, they are sure to sell out quickly.
The medium has a reference number of A67085, while the large’s reference number is A67086. Call Chanel at 800-550-0005 to reserve yours today.
Los Angeles-based fashion e-tailer REVOLVE has launched a new in-house label called, Majorelle. The range was designed by Rachel Zeilic, a former head designer and creative director of Style Stalker and The Jetset Diaries. Making its debut this month, the luxe bohemian line includes billowing dresses, breezy separates, bodysuits, denim and more. The name is inspired by Marrakech’s Jardin du Majorelle created by French artist Jacques Majorelle. Priced between $110 and $398, discover seven standout picks from the line below.
It’s new, it’s small and it’s something from newly-rejuvenated Mulberry, made specially just for the boys. Yes, I’m talking about the Small Buckle Satchel that in my opinion most successfully combines the British heritage of Mulberry with new Creative Director Johnny Coca’s European-leaning aesthetics.
With Mulberry’s signature buckle taking centrestage on this remarkably handsome yet simple bag, it’s the grained tanned leather I love the most, rugged and hard-wearing, and given a finish of contrasting stitches that runs along the outside of the bag.
Measuring 34 cm by 21 cm, there’s a roomy main compartment, a patch pocket on the front that’s situated under the flap and another zip pocket that you’ll find at the back of the satchel. Priced at GBP895 (or around SGD1600 after conversion), it comes in 3 colours, Black (shown above), Oak and Oxblood, all of which are signature colours for Mulberry as well.
For those who love how it looks but would prefer something larger, you’re in luck. The bag also comes in a larger size (simply known as the Buckle Satchel) and measures 40 cm by 26 cm. The price is also pretty decent, just GBP1095 or under SGD2000 after conversion. Not bad. Not bad at all.
No one in fashion knows how to throw a rager quite as rowdy as Alexander Wang — proven time and time again through his ad campaigns featuring neon-lit party busses and fashion week after-parties that have included concerts, carnivals, ice luges, beer pong and catering by Hooters. Back in September, to celebrate his spring 2016 collection and his 10th anniversary in business, he constructed a makeshift gentleman's club inside of Pier 94. His traditional show venue was transformed as pole dancers (clad head-to-toe in Wang athleisure) demonstrated their mesmerizing skills during live performances by Tinashe, Lil Wayne and Ludacris.
In keeping with said theme, Wang showed argyle sweaters for both pre-fall and fall that included the pole dancer motif in a surprisingly tasteful way. Sure, this cheeky, slightly naughty knit might not be appropriate for all occasions — say, Thanksgiving dinner at your conservative grandparents' house — but it's fun as hell and could turn any boring, weekday ensemble into a party-ready one. The price is certainly steep for a knit, but you should see the smile that comes to my face every time I pull it up and (however briefly) consider purchasing it. Bring it on fall, let's dance.
A new leather creation from the Paris in Rome Collection, the Chanel Paris in Rome Zipped Wallet is all you could ever ask for in all aspects. Its navy blue color in sheepskin & light gold metal is already something to look forward to.
This particular Chanel zipped wallet broke from the usual overall quilting effect found in other wallets since the quilt is found only in the center. And oh, the new and beautiful CC logo on top is one of our favorites as well!
Now let’s talk about its interiors and compartments. Upon opening, you will instantly notice that it features a dark blood-like red color. It has several card slots for easy storage and a coin holder in the center just to keep those little pennies in one storage.
Style code is A80969, measuring 4.1′ x 7.6′ x 0.8′ inches, priced at $950 USD, €945 euro, £800 GBP or $7900 HKD via Chanel boutiques.
